On the internet I mean...I was thinking the other day that my searches are probably very limited compared to the average internet user's searches. To be honest, most of the time I don't even search, I tend to go to my bookmarks and only slightly deviate for practical items such as the store hours of my local Corte Ingles on a 'festivo' (does anybody else hate the Spanish store hour system as much as I do?) or train schedules, etc.
I came across this entry in the official Google blog and found it pretty interesting so I thought I'd share it with you; the second link has the results of their 'Global Zeitgeist'.

The end of Wall Street?
This is a very interesting article I came across about a month ago and it relates to the origins of the current financial crisis, namely some of the complexities behind mortgage backed securities and other derivatives. The author, Michael Lewis, also wrote the book 'Liar's Poker' in the late '80's which is great fun to read and very informative.

Why I started this blog
Why indeed? Well, it was suggested in our Information Systems class today by our professor, Enrique Dans. I am currently doing my MBA at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain. One of the areas of focus is innovation in the context of business and we have been discussing lately the concept of 'cloud computing'. So, we decided as a class to try to use blogs to share information but also to post our class assignments. A bit of a social experiment in some ways as it can impact/change class dynamics and behavior, so I am curious to see how it will work out. As I am a novice blogger and I am not sure how much time I will be able to spend blogging during this hectic MBA year, I think I will keep the blog private at first and only allow access to my classmates, professor and perhaps some friends if they happen to be interested. I am trying to learn, so I ask those of you who are experts to please make improvement suggestions if you have a moment.
Happy blogging!
